HTC 608t Receives Approvals in China

Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC is gearing up for the launch of a new smartphone in Asia, and it may not be too long before it makes it official, it seems.

The smartphone, spotted online only a few weeks ago as HTC 608t, has already received the necessary approvals in China, where it is expected to land on shelves at wireless carrier China Mobile. Ameblo reports, The handset is expected to arrive on shelves running under Google’s Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system, though it might also sport HTC’s custom UI loaded on top.

The phone is said to pack a quad-core processor inside (with 1GB of RAM attached to it), a 4.5-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a 540 x 960 pixel (qHD) resolution, and an 8-megepixel photo snapper on the back, paired with a front camera for video calling.
