ZTE Nubia 5 Goes Official in the US

Today, Chinese mobile phone maker ZTE has officially announced the upcoming availability of its ZTE nubia 5 smartphone on the market in the United States.

The new device will become available for pre-order in the country on October 5 through Amazon and other retailers, with a MSRP of $449.99 (€330) attached. ZTE nubia 5 lands on shelves with a large 5-inch full HD touchscreen display capable of delivering a 443PPI pixel density. Furthermore, the new mobile phone has been announced with a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor inside, as well as with 2GB of RAM. ZTE Nubia 5 also features 16GB of internal memory, is powered by a 2300 mAh battery, and runs under Google’s Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system. On top of that, the mobile phone features a Konica-Minolta 13-megapixel camera on the back, with auto focus, full HD video recording, LED flash, and Sapphire Lens.

The specs list of the handset also includes a 2MP front camera, along with the usual set of connectivity options: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS receiver, and the like. ZTE nubia 5’s back camera also features intelligent stabilization. The camera app also offers a great experience through options such as Fun Mode, Auto Mode, and Pro Mode, each with its own set of features and capabilities. Additionally, the device was packed with Digital Dolby Plus audio, a low-profile bezel, and with a matte finish. The smartphone also comes with glowing red custom fixed buttons that make it stand up in the crowd. "As the software and apps available on today's smartphones replace more and more of the other devices we use on a daily basis, the specifications for features like cameras, displays and speakers are becoming increasingly sophisticated,” Lixin Cheng, chairman and CEO of ZTE USA, said.

“The nubia 5 really pushes that trend further. Moreover, the launch of the ZTE nubia 5 builds on our ongoing commitment to the U.S. ZTE will be working closely with our customers to make devices like this available in the U.S."
