Samsung Might Unveil Galaxy S5 in January 2014

South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics might speed up the unveiling of its next Android-based flagship, and it should make it official in January next year, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

Apparently, the company is very unhappy with the sales of Galaxy S4 and wants to bring the new device to the market sooner so as to counter that. The next flagship smartphone from the company should arrive on shelves in February, about two months earlier than previously expected, a report from South Korea unveils.

According to SamMobile, Galaxy S5 will feature a metal case, and it might also include Samsung’s 64-bit Exynos processor and a 16-megapixel camera on the back. The mobile phone is also expected to pack an eight-core CPU, and to run under Android 4.4 KitKat right from the start. However, nothing has been officially confirmed on this, so stay tuned.
